The Beginners Guide To Meditation Breathing

Breathing is the main reason as to why human beings live. Without breathing, the human body would not have oxygen which aids in maintaining the lives of all the cells and organs in the human body. Experts always recommend meditation breathings to keep ailments at bay.

Breathing in brings oxygen to the lungs and into the heart through the blood vessels. The vessels then transport the oxygenated blood to all body parts hence nourishing all the cells. Meditation breathing has been known as a way of establishing resilience to stress, annoyance, and nervousness.

Breathing And Sound

Every pulsation produces a sound and so breathe has a sound. In meditation, people are urged to breathe consciously as they listen to the way they are breathing, the sensation that breathing out brings to them and allow themselves to connect with their thoughts and the breathing.

When one blocks all the external sounds during meditation through breathing, they are synced with the internal sense and therefore can hear themselves breathe. Recite a specific mantra mentally that is in sync with the breathing rate and this will help you relax.

Importance of Meditation Breathing

Conscious breathing

In meditation classes, people are told to breathe consciously where one is able to connect with refined energy within their body. Through breathing, one is able to move from one consciousness level to another. Breathing enables one to be conscious of the present.

Focusing on the breathing means that one is living the present life and during this time, one lets go of the past and does not think of the future.Conscious breathing is known to be one of the best ways to let go of past painful experiences or disappointments for it allows one to focus on the current and block out all the other times.

Controlling The Breath

During meditation, one can change the way they are breathing from normal breathing to deep inhales and exhales. This changing of breathing patterns yields different mind states for breathing has an effect on the emotional state of a person.

The slowing down of release of breath activates the cerebral cortex which generates impulses that  overflow to the hypothalamus part of the brain that is in charge of emotions and relaxes this area, hence achieving relaxation all over the body

Length Of Life

It is believed that the slower you breathe, the more the years one will live.

How To Perform Meditation Breathing

Breathing in –and- out calms one’s nerves and do away with anxiety. Find a quiet place and sit comfortably. Ensure that the hands and the body are all relaxed. Notice the connection between your body, the surrounding environment and the serenity of the quietness. Breathe in and out.

As one breathes in and out, try and notice the way your body feels breathing in and out relaxes the body. During this exercise, allow the breathing to take charge and lead the body and mind by focusing your thoughts and feelings to the breathing.

During this exercise, the mind sometimes drifts off and one starts to think of other things. It is not a bad thing that this happens. Realize it and redirect your mind to the breathing again. Repeat the procedure continuously for like ten minutes.

Meditation breathing gifts you a revived and rejuvenated mind, body, and soul. All the negative energy has gone away from the body and all you feel rejuvenated to face life with a huge smile on your face.
